That question used to REALLY scare me, and sometimes still does. But instead of being scared because JESUS is coming back, I think I am unsure because I don't know WHEN He is returning...says so in the Bible...You will not know the day or the hour....
I definitely think it will be in our lifetime. Soon.
You're correct, Holly. But in the same breath that we're told we won't know the day or the hour, we're told to look for the signs---just like when a fig leaf blooms, you know spring is near, when you see these signs, you'll know his coming is near.
my dad has always said that he feels the Lord will return in his lifetime. since he's my dad, i've always believed that. :-) of course, i hope my earthly Father lives a very long life; however, i am looking forward to my Heavenly Father's return, and it would be wonderful to never have to say good-bye!!
I am married to Andy Dietz, a retired pastor. We've been in the ministry for over 49 years. We have four grown children and 12 beautiful grandchildren and 3 adorable great-granddaughters! I write to share what God is teaching me (it's a continual work in progress!) and to open the window to my life and allow you to look in.

What signs do you see that makes you think the end is near???
I sent Holly a long list, but just let me say I base it on Matthew 24 and II Peter 3 and II Timothy 3.
