In light of our discussion on holiness, I thought it was interesting when I read this in the Amplified Bible this morning:
Psalm 145:17
"The Lord is [rigidly] righteous in all His ways and gracious and merciful in all His works."
I don't want God to be any other way than rigidly righteous, do you? Otherwise, he wouldn't be God! But he pairs it here with grace and mercy. Great combination.

wow! i had a hard time wrapping my mind around that combination, but then i thought about my life, and Jody, and what we've been through. and i see he IS rigidly righteous and he IS merciful and i'm so very grateful. wow, thanks
