Grandkid Time

David & Lindsey have planned a trip for quite some time and asked us to watch their kids.  They'll be celebrating their anniversary while they're gone.  So Ryan & Addie came Thursday night for some fun times.  Friday night, Alexis called to see if she could come stay the night.  Caitlin found out all of the local cousins would be together, so she asked to get in on the fun.

To top it off, our adopted students decided to go on a date and asked us to babysit 2-month-old Bentley Friday night.  So we had so much fun taking care of a tiny little girl added in to our Dietz mix.

Daddy David had given me a heads-up that United was having a pumpkin carving demonstration and pumpkin painting for kids Saturday morning.  We actually got to sleep in til about 8:30, ate breakfast, got dressed and made our way to the surprise.  They didn't know what UPP (the name of the surprise) stood for.  United Pumpkin Patch, in case you missed it, too.

We spent some time in Wal-Mart with the kids giving me some much-needed advice about what they wanted for Christmas.  It included some older kids writing a list.  I told them we'd rent a movie from the Red Box if they could agree on one together.  Oh my.  Unfortunately, Red Box didn't have a great selection for kids from 5-11, boys to girls.  Tears were involved.  So we ended up purchasing one they did agree on.  Movie time included popcorn and pillows and some fine concentration.

Our movie has been temporarily interrupted....for tea time!

Ryan declared the tea wasn't sweet enough...

So tea time was over for this dude.

But the girls stayed til the pot was dry...using their infected English voices.
