How about when we heard from God about selling our house and leaving Hereford. We had no idea where we were going or why, but He told us to sell it and for David to quit his job. One week later, we had a contract on the house. One month after that, we were in Dallas at school. That took a lot of believing we had heard from God and obeying even though it made no sense!

A beautiful woman, Lynda McClellan. Through the light of Stage IV breast cancer she encouraged me to listen for the Lord, to follow Him, to dwell with Him. She stubbornly held on to His great love for her when most would have wallowed in self pity. She and her stubborn faith laughed and loved and served until she went to be with the Father this July

God told me to write an encouraging letter to someone. He'd placed the call on my heart for some time and then one day its like He told me - "it's time." When I did - what happened was amazing. The woman was going through a lot - I still don't know all the details but she said it hangs on her wall and she just loves to read it on Monday mornings or when she feels gloom. This is the lady that owns the sewing dealership in Lubb and later she invited me on an all expense paid trip to Chicago to Bernina headquarters. What a blessing from obedience.
I never would have imagined that just listening to God and having faith in writing that letter would have meant so much to someone and blessed me in such a way either. The trip was just an added bonus. (Not to mention how it has encouraged me in my sewing & creativity). The smile on her face and hugs I get each time I go in the store are blessing enough for me.
