Jesus, the Interceder

Last night, I was broken.  God had put his finger on a sin in my life. I don’t want to be that way. And I was weeping with repentance, grief, and frustration with myself.  And I cried out, “JESUS!!!  Pray for me!!!”

“My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action].”  I John 2:1 AMP

I was instantly reminded of this verse. And then a sweet memory flooded my mind.  A woman (who is at home with Jesus now) who dealt with the same issue as me—but was filled with grace.  That memory washed over me like liquid honey.

Instantly, I knew.  I knew the way out…the way to overcome.

Thank you, Jesus!   Thank you for interceding for me last night.  Thank you for the light for my path.
