I just heard Newt Gingrich on Fox News tonight talking about the threat of North Korea. They've threatened to shoot down any U.S. spy planes over them. Then Newt began talking about a book called One Second After by William R. Forstchen. The premise is N. Korea (or any enemy) could detonate a nuclear device, an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) over the U.S. and destroy the electrical grid all over our country and put us in a pre-technological age---or dark ages. This could be a reality. It's been cited on the floor of Congress as a book all Americans should read and being discussed in the Pentagon.
Another hypothesis of why America is no longer a superpower in the last days.

I saw part of Newt's interview last night too - but missed a lot of it taking care of Clara. Looked interesting.
