I may have a dilemma. Friday is our Thanksgiving Grocery Give-Away Day at Living Water. It's such a fun time!! It's a "free" day where you don't have to have your card punched to get groceries. Last year, we had 110 families come for food. And since our numbers have been up, I'm figuring on 150 families this year. The guys have been so busy all week making sure all our ducks (or turkeys) are in a row.
A neat thing happened...one of our former "clients" who used to come for groceries came in and told me last week that he'd donate $1000 for everyone to have turkeys for Thanksgiving if I could get it matched in 2 days. And we did it!! It was so much fun. Not only having money donated---but by whom it was donated. God is definitely growing fruit here at LW.
So...I called our local grocery store and ordered 150 turkeys. And because we didn't know we were going to have turkeys for everyone, I had been ordering fat hens to give away from the food bank. I tell you that to tell you our freezers are full!
I'm so hoping I don't have turkeys left over Friday. Anyone with freezer space??

What an awesome "problem" to have: too much rather than not enough!
Becky, I hope tomorrow you have given 150 turkeys to people who will come to Living Water. I hope you are sleeping really good tonight, you will need it tomorrow.
