An Extraordinary Ordinary Man

I love the story of Bezalel.  It's in Exodus 31.  God has just spent time talking to Moses, the leader of the Israelites.  And God has just appointed Aaron and his sons as priests.  And then He says this:

1AND THE Lord said to Moses,
2See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
3And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability, in understanding and intelligence, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
4To devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,
5And in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

Why is his story so great to me?  Because he's an ordinary man who's been learning an ordinary trade.  But God fills him with His Spirit and everything he does becomes extraordinary.  God uses Bezalel to create the furnishings for the tabernacle.  I think it just shows that one position isn't more special than another to God.  He prepares each of us for what He wants us to fulfill.  But...it takes being filled with the Spirit of God for it to become extraordinary.
